Scales

A common term used by the colonists to describe the native inhabitants of the New World. Reptilian humanoids, they seem to have heavy variance between tribes, as much as an elf, a dwarf, and an orc might back in Europe.

Most interactions are hostile, although exceptions have existed, most prominently in New Florence. Many of them seem to despise Arcanists, prioritizing them for kidnappings for the purpose of some sort of ritual sacrifice - Other tribes are instead led by Arcanists. These tribes seem to fight one another frequently.

One commonality across all tribes are strange necklaces bearing talismans - these seem to be of both religious and magical significance.
