Cragwater

Within Cragwater, water is consistently rationed, at a rate that causes discomfort, but not too significant sickness or weakness. Food is rationed as well, but at a higher quantity, enough not to cause dissent, at least at the time. Of the roughly 400 colonists of Cragwater, about half of them are veterans from the Last War, and most use their previous weaponry, typically a longbow or billhook, the later useful for clearing through the jungle safely in addition to combat use. For the rest, there is a split between those without significant military capabilities, and those independently trained, some fighting in minor skirmishes since the war, and their equipment tends to be far more personalized.

Cragwater is an established camp, just past the beach, with a palisade wall and a pair of wooden towers protecting it, and about four hundred people living in tents within. The camp has overall been successful, but not thriving, and has opened and cleared through several nearby Gates. Cragwater is in the midst of a Scale territory within a dense, swelteringly hot jungle. While the Scale Tribe they share territory with does not seem as vicious of natural fighters as some others, they seems to use primitive weapons and armor commonly, and to great effect.
