They were not nice about it and generally resented her presence, especially when she pulled ahead of the noble's childrens in arcane proficiency. Though they tried to then arrange a marriage, Zariel pulled her away himself to have her take over Cragwater.
- Always eagerly looking for an excuse to use magic. Magic shouldn't be hoarded - it must be treated like a bird, instead, and set free of its cage to fly. At the same time, using magic just to use magic does not fulfil this belief. Magic has a purpose, and it deserves to have that purpose fulfilled.
- Wants magic to be respected and loved on a widespread scale. Genuinely loves magic. Is reluctant to use it in scenarios that would turn someone off to magic.
- Innate talent and obsession with magic made learning it relatively quick for her, so she doesn't understand when others have to give up. They just don't have the right guidance or motivation.
- Has two holy symbols - one is a mark on her forehead she was born with (Soleira believes it's The Spark's love for her), the other is the Band of the Heavens, an artifact ring she wears on her right hand. (Soleira considers it her love for The Spark)

- Soleira has no firsthand experience of any of the Last War, though her brother voluntarily conscripted and she's read about it after the fact.
- Enchantment magic and war magic are Soleira's least favorite. She thinks there is power in somebody making a choice for themselves
even if you manipulate it to be their best choice, and similarly dislikes the destruction war magic does to the surroundings.
